Invitation to Bidders

Invitation to Bid. The Village of Vernon Hills, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL (“Owner”) invites sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work described in detail in the Contract and generally described as follows: Furnish and Deliver Fuel 2025-2027. 1. Instruction to Bidders. Bid Packets (containing Proposal Forms, Specifications, Instructions, and Relevant Attachments) may be obtained electronically starting at 7:30 AM on March 5, 2025 by sending an e-mail request to Carissa Hansen at For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. . Bids should be submitted at the Village Hall at 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 in sealed envelopes that are clearly labeled on the outside-“Bid for Furnish and Deliver Fuel 2025-2027”. There should be 2 copies provided of the proposal in the sealed envelope. 2. Bid Opening. Owner will receive sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work until 10:00 a.m., March 19, 2025 at Owner’s office listed above, at which time all Bidder’s Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Late bids will be returned unopened. 3. Bid Security, Bond and Insurance. A. Bid Security. Each Bidder’s Proposal shall be accompanied by a security deposit of at least 5% of the Bidders Price Proposal in the form of (1) a Cashier’s Check or Certified Check payable without condition to VILLAGE or (2) a Bid Bond in the form included in this Bid Package from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois with a general rating of A and a financial size category of Class III or better in Best’s Insurance Guide. B. Insurance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance upon award of the Contract.
