Charleston County School District is seeking Proposals for Full-Time Virtual School Services for Grades 5-8 for Charleston County School District . Proposals are to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/ccsd , no later than 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 .

Charleston County School District (CCSD) is the second-largest school system in South Carolina, serving over 50,000 students across 80+ schools and specialized programs. The district spans approximately 1,000 to 1,300 square miles of coastal lands, representing a unique blend of urban, suburban, and rural communities within the historic and culturally rich Charleston Lowcountry. CCSD is a significant employer in the region, with approximately 6,500 employees dedicated to student success.

CCSD is committed to providing equitable, high-quality education for all students and operates a wide range of instructional models, including neighborhood, magnet, International Baccalaureate (IB), Montessori, virtual, and charter schools. CCSD also provides the option of full-time virtual instruction through programs serving grades 5th-8th and 9th-12th, with these students remaining dually enrolled in their enrollment zone school.

The Scope of Work solicits a qualified vendor/provider to deliver a full-time rigorous virtual school program for students in grades 5-8 during the 2026-2027 school year. The program must align with the South Carolina State Standards and uphold the district’s mission of college, career, and citizenship readiness, integrating seamlessly with CCSD’s accountability goals.
