Fuel Reduction & Defensible Space

The City of San Bruno, through its Fire Department (“City”), is soliciting proposals from qualified and licensed contractors that are registered in the State of California, to perform fuel reduction and vegetation clearance services within the City and lands belonging to the City (“Proposals”). Treatment areas included in the project are appended and further discussed under Scope. The vegetation work will include thinning and removal of vegetation, and tree pruning within 100 feet of structures as outlined in Section four. Said services must meet all applicable State and/or Local regulations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informality, minor technical defect, or irregularity in Proposals, and to accept or reject any items of a Proposal. The City, at its discretion, may reject as incomplete any Proposal which is in any way conditional, includes exceptions, alterations, or omissions, or includes reservations to the terms of the Proposal form, drawings, specifications, or other contract documents. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals. City will reject Proposals from any contractor for whom there is documented evidence of project schedule delays and cost overruns and / or documented inability to meet project performance requirements.
