Roosevelt School District No. 66 (RSD66), located in South Phoenix, Arizona, serves approximately 7,200 students from Pre-K through 8th grade. The district is committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education and holistic support services, including healthy and nutritious meals that fuel learning and development.
RSD66’s student population is diverse, with a majority coming from Hispanic and underserved communities, many of whom qualify for free or reduced-price lunch programs. RSD66 participates in federal nutrition programs administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), including:
National School Lunch Program (NSLP) – providing nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to eligible students.
School Breakfast Program (SBP) – ensuring access to a healthy breakfast for all students.
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) – supporting nutrition for eligible students in before- and after-school programs.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) – delivering fresh fruits and vegetables to students, promoting healthy eating habits, and exposing them to a variety of nutritious options.
