Scope of Services
Hillsborough County Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified firms to establish a cost-plus “fixed fee per case” contract for the delivery of fresh, high-quality, specialty fruits and vegetables to select elementary school sites for use in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). FFVP is a federally funded grant program that provides a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables to students at participating elementary schools two (2) days per week, outside of breakfast and lunch service. Main goals of the FFVP are:

• Serve a variety of raw fresh fruits and vegetables in their natural state and without additives or dips.

• Introduce students to fruits and vegetables that they otherwise might not have had the opportunity to sample.

• Encourage consumption of fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options.
