Pursuant to the City of Asheville's Procurement, Purchasing and Contracting Policy, and the Code of
Federal Regulations 200.317- 200.327, Bids will be received for the following:
Description of Work:
Demolition of Helene damaged building structures and park amenities for multiple park properties
along the French Broad River. The selected contractor will be required to issue construction documents
through shop drawing submittals and use these documents as the basis for all relevant SWPPP
approvals and permitting requirements to be fully compliant with state and local laws.
Bid Schedule:
Issuance of Advertisement for Bids April 30, 2026
Pre-Bid Meeting (not mandatory) May 14, 2026, 1:00pm
Virtual Meeting
Deadline to Submit Questions May 22, 2026, 1:00pm
Bids Due (Bid Opening) June 4, 2026; 3:00pm
Construction Start Wednesday September 5, 2023
Pre-Bid Meeting attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
Bid Documents:
Invitation to Bid Documents are posted on the City procurement website at
www.ashevillenc.gov/bids. This is the official source of this solicitation. All updates to this solicitation
shall come in the form of published addenda and shall be published to the same location. The City
will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bid Documents including any addendum obtained
from any other source.
The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities.
