Title: Freight and Moving Services of Disaster Supplies
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 3/28/2025
Due Date: 4/29/2025
As requested by the Emergency Management Division (hereinafter, the “Division or Department”), the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division (hereinafter, “County”) has issued this Invitation to Bid (hereinafter, “ITB”) with the intent of obtaining bid submittals from interested and qualified vendors in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications stated or attached. The vendor, at a minimum, must achieve the requirements of the Specifications or Scope of Work stated.
The results of this solicitation may be used by other County departments once awarded according to the Board of County Commissioners Procurement Ordinance.
The Emergency Management Division is seeking multiple vendors for time-sensitive loading and off-loading and interior delivery to local school shelters, recreation centers, foodbanks, fire or EMS stations, neighborhood points of distribution, and to include disaster or emergency impacted areas. Historically, County departments have spent approximately $10,000; however, this may not be indicative of future buying patterns.
Collier County’s Emergency Management Division is seeking multiple vendors for year-round on-call, disaster supplies and palletized commodity movement typically using 24-26 ft+- single axel straight box trucks with lift gates and manpower for the time-sensitive transportation of disaster supplies, portable equipment and/or similar freight/palletized transport services. Collier County Emergency Management Division (CCEM) is migrating its vast disaster supplies from utility trailer storage to a rolling bin and palletized storage delivery system. This allows the County’s disaster supplies to be stored in conditioned space to minimize product loss from outdoor conditions and initiate a new delivery method for “just-in-time” delivery of disaster supplies via palletized and heavy-duty rolling cart storage containers. Collier County estimates it may need up to 10 trucks making multiple trips with loading and off-loading manpower to embed with Collier County staff and its warehouse operation to load, deliver, off-load, pick up, and courier certain supplies and equipment as described below.
