Overview

Summary

The City of Vista seeks creative and qualified non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations to develop free after-school recreation programs at Linda Rhoades Neighborhood Center. The City will enter into a grant Agreement for a maximum length of five (5) years. Services provided under the Agreement shall not exceed $100,000 per each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). The City may award funds to more than one non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Contractors may submit proposals as a single organization with in-house capabilities or as a primary organization with sub-contractors to provide the requested services. For specialized work for which the prime contractor will require a sub-contractor, the prime contractor will serve as an administrative liaison between the City and the sub-contractor. The prime contractor mark-up for sub-contractors shall not exceed five percent (5%). The City reserves the right to request proposals from other contractors throughout the Agreement term for special projects requiring unique qualifications.

Background

Description

Linda Rhoades Neighborhood Center is located at 600 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Vista, California 92083. The center is approximately 10,461 square feet of which the gymnasium is approximately 7,002 square feet. The gymnasium has one full basketball court and one stage. The gymnasium is available for free after-school recreation programs.

Scheduling

Scheduling considerations:

Proposed programming can range from 2-7 days per week.
Proposed programming can range from after-school up to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m – 9:00 p.m. on weekends.
Certain dates will be unavailable due to Vista Unified School District (VUSD) programming, holidays observed by VUSD and City of Vista, and scheduled City of Vista events. Additionally, San Diego County Sherriff has historically had community programming on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for up to 9 months of the year. All of this is subject to change.
