Minnesota IT Services, (MNIT Services) intends to purchase one (1) FRED Forensic Workstation with 1 RAID, SKU: F11501R through Digital Intelligence, Inc. as a single source, no substitute purchase.

The FRED Forensic Workstation with 1 RAID, SKU: F11501R is calibrated specifically for the scientific digital forensics work the laboratory carries out, and the laboratory has developed workflows and processes specific to this hardware. It is crucial to maintain consistency in the laboratory and ensure the scientific work carried out is sound, meets or exceeds industry standards, and can withstand the scrutiny of legal challenges. This is the only unit that will meet the exacting standards and protocols established, tested and verified by the MNIT Services digital forensics laboratory.

Because Digital Intelligence, Inc. is the only entity that can provide the exact make and model necessary to meet the needs of the MNIT Services digital forensics laboratory this has been deemed a single source, no substitute purchase.
