Project Scope
  • Installation of a custom-fabricated flood gate

  • Manual, upward-opening gate

  • Location: North side of the Foust Street Levee opening, Danville, PA

Bid Security Requirements
  • 10% of total bid in the form of:

    • Certified check or bank draft payable to The Borough of Danville, or

    • Satisfactory Bid Bond executed by an acceptable surety

  • Required Forms:

    • Completed Non-Collusion Affidavit

Equal Employment and Labor Requirements
  • Executive Order 11246 Compliance

    • 6.9% female participation goal

    • 1% minority participation goal
      (Applicable to contracts over $10,000)

Federal Compliance

This project is federally funded and subject to the following requirements:

MBE/WBE & Section 3 Requirements
  • MBE Goal: 5%

  • WBE Goal: 3%
    (Applicable to contracts of $25,000 or more)

  • HUD/CDBG-Funded Projects Over $200,000:

    • 25% of total labor hours: Section 3 workers

    • 5% of total labor hours: Targeted Section 3 workers

  • Documentation of outreach and commitments to:

    • Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE)

    • Section 3 business concerns

    • Must be submitted with the bid

  • Bid Preference: May be given to Section 3 business concerns

Additional Compliance

Bid Review & Award Process
  • Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and bidder qualification

  • The Borough of Danville reserves the right to:

    • Reject any or all bids

    • Waive irregularities

    • Negotiate contract amounts
