Project Description: This project provides for the re-roofing of a portion of the existing historic Folded Plate concrete roof structure, access improvements and building maintenance spaces. This project includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of existing roofing, concrete topping, elastomeric coatings, and asbestos containing material. Architecturally, this project has PVC roofing work, metal panel, and roof hatches. Interior work includes ceiling removal and painting. Structurally, this project contains steel catwalk and stair modifications, fall protection, cold formed metal framing, concrete repairs and metal roof deck. Mechanically, this project includes duct modifications, moisture sensors, plumbing and smoke evacuation fan work. Electrically, this project includes lightning protection, temporary conditions, and reconnections for various other items. Temporary roof enclosures are to be built to house the re-roofing work and debris netting is to be installed inside the terminal. This project is the last of three projects that will complete the re-roof of the entire Folded Plate roof.
