FMS Low Frequency Antenna Installation and Improvements IAW the PWS

This is a local area set aside for the State of California.

Acquiring improvements to the H-915A low frequency antenna (LFA) installation on the South Antenna Pole near Building 441 on Vandenberg SFB, CA. Building 441 houses the equipment used by the Frequency Management System (FMS) team to monitor radio frequencies on Vandenberg SFB in support of Government and commercial launches. MANDATORY Site Visit/Survey:

Date/Time: Wednesday, 02 April 2025, 1:00 PM PT

Location: Vandenberg SFB, CA

(a) Base Access Requirements:

Base Access Request: Submit the completed Base Access Request Form (columns A & B only) to Ashlee.Hawkins@us.af.mil and robert.rutherford.6@us.af.mil by 27 March 2025 for processing. Form is attached to the RFQ.

(b) Visitor Pass: After submitting the request, you MUST obtain a physical visitor pass from the Visitor Center (see map link below) for base access.

(c) Meet Point of Contact: Robert Rutherford will meet you at the Visitor Center at 12:30 PM PT to escort you to the site. Allow ample time to obtain your pass before 12:30 PM (arrive by noon recommended)

1. Option 1 (Recommended): Meet Robert Rutherford at the Visitor Center at 12:30 PM PT.


2. Option 2 (Alternate): Proceed directly to Building 441. See directions below.

(g) Directions to Building 441 (If not meeting at Visitor Center):

1. From the South Gate, follow Arguello Road past the fire station. Building 441 will be on your left at the end of Arguello Road.


2. From Visitor Center: Go through Santa Maria Gate, continue on California Blvd to 13th Street. Left on 13th Street, exit through Solvang Gate. Continue across railroad tracks and West Ocean Ave to the South Gate.

(h) Vehicle Restrictions: Avoid bringing bucket trucks unless it's your primary vehicle. Bucket trucks must enter through the Lompoc Gate for inspection (see map link above).
