The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The service is for the provision of Medical Bedding-Rental (Supply, Rental, Maintenance, Repair). The equipment will be provided at the FCC Butner located in Butner, North Carolina. The physical address is Old NC Highway 75, Butner, NC 27509. The contract shall consist of five (5) performance periods (5 years total), one (1) 12- month base year with four (4) 12- month option years for renewal. The Government contemplates awarding a contract with firm fixed unit prices. The contractor will be required to provide a variety of medical bedding (surfaces) for rental/lease to be used by inmate patients incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Butner, NC being treated for pressure ulcer prevention and healing. The contractor will be required to provide personnel to deliver and set up equipment, as well as provide in-service and maintenance on the rented equipment as required.

The response date for the market research questionnaire survey is Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST).
