A.1 NOTICE TO LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS
Professional Services Continuing Contract (2026-2030)
1. Project(s) and Location
Project: Landscape Architecture Professional Services Continuing Contract (2026-2030)
Location: Florida A&M University campuses and affiliated facilities
2. Services Requested / Guidelines
 Campus landscape master planning, site planning, and concept alternatives for small and mid-size projects
 Planting design (including tree preservation, native/adaptive plant palettes, and seasonal color strategies)
 Irrigation design and rehabilitation support (including coordination with water-use efficiency and maintenance requirements)
 Hardscape and site amenity design (walks, plazas, site walls, seating, lighting coordination, signage coordination, etc.)
 Stormwater and green-infrastructure coordination (bioswales, rain gardens, pervious paving concepts) in collaboration with Civil Engineers
 ADA accessibility and routes analysis for exterior improvements (walk slopes, cross slopes, curb ramps, detectable warnings, etc.)
 CPTED-informed exterior design considerations to support campus safety (sightlines, lighting coordination, clear zones, and wayfinding)
 Site grading concepts and coordination (final civil design by a Professional Engineer as required)
 Construction documents, technical specifications, and permitting support/coordination as applicable
 Bidding assistance, shop drawing/submittal review, and construction administration (field observations, punch lists, closeout)
 Record documentation (as-builts), asset tagging support where applicable, and maintenance-friendly detailing
3. Professional Requirements
Prime consultant must include a Landscape Architect registered in the State of Florida, in good standing, and authorized to provide services for the duration of the contract term.
Where services require additional licensure (e.g., civil engineering for stormwater permitting, electrical engineering for site lighting), the firm shall include appropriately licensed subconsultants as part of the team.
4. Contracting Limits
Projects implemented under this continuing services agreement may include repairs, modifications, alterations, and new construction where the estimated construction cost of each individual project does not exceed $7.5 million (subject to annual CPI adjustment as published by the Florida Department of Management Services), or planning and study activities where the professional services fee for each individual study does not exceed $500,000.
5. Contract Term and Awards
FAMU anticipates awarding one (1) or more continuing services professional services contracts for landscape architecture services.
Initial term: Three (3) years
Renewal options: Two (2) additional one-year terms
Maximum term through 2030, subject to University discretion, funding, and satisfactory performance
6. Insurance Requirements
Insurance requirements will be included in the contract documents and are anticipated to include Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability, and Professional Liability. Final limits and required endorsements will be confirmed in the contract documents.
7. Submittal Requirements (Landscape Architects)
Electronic submissions only. No hard copies or faxed submissions will be accepted.

APPENDIX B - CONTRACT FORM AND GENERAL TERMS (SUMMARY)
The University anticipates using its standard continuing services agreement template(s) for each awarded contract. The final contract form and required exhibits will be provided to the selected firm(s) during contract execution.
For construction and trade continuing services contracts (CM and contractor categories), the University may use contract terms generally consistent with AIA-based general conditions and University modifications, including requirements for changes in the work, time, payments, insurance, bonding (when applicable), and closeout.
For professional services continuing contracts (design professionals and environmental/geotechnical), the Universitys contract will include the scope of services, negotiation and issuance of work authorizations/task orders, compensation, insurance, required statutory certifications, and public records and E-Verify provisions.
Award of a continuing services contract does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. Work, if any, will be assigned through work authorizations/task orders based on University needs, funding, and applicable procurement requirements.
Contract renewals are at the Universitys sole discretion and are typically conditioned on satisfactory performance, compliance with contract requirements, and continued funding.
