Flooring Replacement Project
Belknap County Superior Court - Probation & Parole

Proposal Due Date - May 27, 2026, at 12:00 pm
1. INTRODUCTION
Belknap County is seeking proposals from qualified flooring contractors to furnish all labor, materials,
supervision, equipment, and related services necessary for the removal and replacement of flooring at
the Belknap County Superior Court located at 64 Court Street, Laconia, New Hampshire.
The County intends to select a qualified contractor capable of completing the project in accordance
with the specifications, project schedule, and requirements outlined in this Request for Proposals
(RFP).
2. PROJECT OVERVIEW
The scope of work generally includes, but is not limited to:
Removal and disposal of existing flooring materials.
Surface preparation and floor leveling as required.
Furnishing and installation of new flooring materials.

Furnishing and installation of new 6-inch cove base.
Installation of required transitions and edge treatments.
Cleanup and disposal of all construction debris.
Coordination of work activities to minimize disruption.
The selected contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and
incidentals required for a complete and operational installation.
3. FLOORING SPECIFICATIONS
The proposed flooring system shall meet or exceed the following:
Flooring Material
Manufacturer: Mohawk
Product Line: Mycotexture 2.5
Color: Sawdust
Approximate Quantity: 3,294 square feet
Cove Base
Approximately 800 linear feet of 6-inch cove base.
Cove base color shall be coordinated with the County.
Floor Preparation
The contractor shall inspect all existing conditions and provide all necessary floor preparation required
to ensure proper and warrantable installation.
Preparation may include:
Removal of adhesives
Patching
Crack repair
Surface leveling
Moisture mitigation if required
Transition installation
The contractor shall verify all dimensions and existing site conditions prior to submission of
proposal.

4. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The contractor shall:
Field verify all measurements and existing conditions.
Coordinate all work with Belknap County representatives.
Protect adjacent finishes, furniture, and building components.
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
Remove and legally dispose of all debris and demolished materials.
Provide all manufacturer-recommended adhesives and installation materials.
Complete all work in compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and local building codes.
Repair any damage caused by contractor operations.
Provide manufacturer warranties and workmanship warranties upon project completion.
5. WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULING
The contractor shall coordinate all work schedules with Belknap County to minimize disruptions. The
project area will remain occupied during installation, and night and weekend work may be necessary to
accommodate court operations.
Contractor work hours shall be limited to Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM unless
otherwise approved by the County. The County reserves the right to require phased work, after-hours
work, night work, or weekend work depending on operational needs.
The contractor shall provide an estimated project schedule including:
Mobilization date
Material lead times
Estimated duration of work
Proposed completion date
6. SITE VISIT
A mandatory pre-bid site visitation is required prior to submission of proposals. Contractors shall
review all work areas, existing conditions, access limitations, and project requirements during the site
visit.
