Floor Replacement – Department of Social Services

Project Summary:
Williamsburg County Government is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to remove and replace all flooring in the Department of Social Services building located at 121 Hampton Avenue, Kingstree, SC 29556. This is a three-story commercial facility. Floor Plans are attached.

Scope of Work Includes:

• Removal and proper disposal of all existing flooring (including carpet, tile, and other materials as applicable) throughout all three floors of the building.
• Surface preparation as needed for new flooring installation.
• Installation of new commercial-grade flooring: Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and rubber base trim as specified by the County.
  1. Contractor to provide color samples of LVT and Trim for approval, before installation.
• Coordination of work to minimize disruption to daily operations.
• Cleanup and disposal of all debris.
• Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations.

Site Visit:
A mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held on September 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the project site. Bidders must attend the site visit to be eligible to submit a bid.

Submission Requirements:

• Company profile and qualifications
• Detailed cost breakdown (labor, materials, taxes, disposal, etc.)
• Estimated project timeline
• Proof of insurance and required licenses
• At least three (3) references from similar projects

Submission Instructions:
Sealed bids must be clearly labeled “ DSS Floor Replacement Bid ” and delivered by September 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
