Description

PURPOSE. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to establish a Contract for furnishing and delivering of pre-engineered flammable lockers for compliant storage of hazardous chemicals. The Responders will be required to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies, necessary or incidental, for the delivery of the locker to locations throughout Minnesota.

QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS. Any questions and/or clarifications in regard to the solicitation response shall be made in writing to Craig Fernholz, Acquisition Management Specialist via email at craig.fernholz@state.mn.us by August 1, 2025, no later than 2:00 PM CT. If a Responder discovers any significant ambiguity, error, conflict, discrepancy, omission, or other deficiency in the RFP, they must immediately notify the Buyer in writing of such error and request modification or clarification of the document. Responders are not to contact anyone within any other State Agency regarding this solicitation. The State is not obligated to answer questions submitted after the questions/clarifications due date and time.

PRE-APPROVED EQUIVALENT. Responders may propose alternative products that meet the specifications listed in Exhibit C of the Sample Contract and Exhibits.

Any proposed equivalent replacement can be requested for approval prior to the solicitation due date and time. Submit requests by August 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. to Craig Fernholz at craig.fernholz@state.mn.us. Requests for approval of a proposed equivalent must include: product description, the make and model, and a product data or specification sheet from the manufacturer. The State reserves the right to request additional information about a product proposed as an equivalent. Only submitting a website address for approval review will not be accepted. Documentation must be submitted via email to the contact listed above.

An addendum that lists any approved equivalent will be posted prior to the solicitation due date and time. Proposed equivalents that are not approved will not be included in the addendum and a communication will be set via email prior to the solicitation due date and time.
