Fiscal Year 2026 Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) BDU-59C/B Production

This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a firm fixed price modification under contract N0001924C0004 to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald, Pennsylvania. This modification will add fiscal year 2026 production of the BDU-59C/B LGTR to the contract. Contract Award is anticipated for Q4 of 2025.

This sources sought is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302‐1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement.

However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
