Fireworks Display

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a term contract with qualified, licensed and/or registered contractors having experience in providing all aerial fireworks and pyro-technicians for a 4 ^th of July fireworks display. As provided in this RFP, discussions may be conducted with responsible offerors, who submit proposals determined to be candidates for award for the purpose of clarification and to assure full understanding of, and responsiveness to, the solicitation requirements

The town plans to present a fireworks display on the 4 ^th of July. The event takes place in Bready Park, 814 Ferndale Ave., Herndon, VA 20170. The 4 ^th of July Celebration is more than 35 years old and has an audience of 4,000-6,000 spectators. This does not account for the number of residents that are outside the park along the roadway and in neighboring housing developments to watch the fireworks. The fireworks display is held in conjunction with a musical performance, traditional outdoor games and food vendors.

The show is fired from the Herndon Centennial Golf Course, located approximately 1,000’ from the July 4 ^th venue. The firework launch area is in a grass field, on the golf course driving range, with mature trees nearby. Access to the area is by vehicle; no special equipment is needed.
