Fireproofing Repairs for Skyland Elementary School

The School District of Greenville County is seeking bid responses for Fireproofing Repairs at Skyland Elementary School in accordance with the Specifications and Terms and Conditions of this solicitation. Skyland Elementary School located at 4221 SC - Hwy. 14 North in Greer SC constructed in 1999. This project is multi-phased to replace existing fireproofing that was damaged during the recent roof replacement. Fireproofing replacement will include top of wall and on horizontal surface of the roof deck. The project consists of approximately 20 classrooms, offices and support spaces. Firestopping to be installed according the UL Assembly Systems noted in Specifications and Drawings. The General Contractor must employ a licensed and certified Firestop Installer and work with Greenville County School’s Third Party Inspector to ensure that new fireproofing is installed according to construction documents.

It will be the General Contractor’s responsibility to protect the interior building; the school’s electronics, equipment; and furnishing during this project. Cleanup must be completed before moving to the next area of fireproofing removal and replacement.

An add alternate is included in this project to install new acoustic ceiling tiles equivalent to Armstrong #1728 Fine F issued Lay-in 2x2 Tile in the corridors only; approximately 8600 SF.

This phase of work must begin on May 25, 2026 and end July 31, 2026. Any work not completed by deadline; will be completed Summer 2027.
