FIREFIGHTING FOAM PICK-UP, DISPOSAL & DESTRUCTION FROM MARYLAND FIRE DEPARTMENTS/AIRPORTS (CLASS B) (AFFF)

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued to procure services, as specified in Section 2, through a contract between the successful bidder(s) and the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and the Land and Materials Administration (LMA); MDE is seeking qualified bidders that will pick up Class B Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) from fire departments and airports in the State of Maryland that have expressed interest in participating in the Takeback Program and dispose of AFFF at a permitted facility outside of Maryland or destroy the AFFF using MDE-approved methods. This complies with the George “Walter” Taylor Act of 2022.
