Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received by the City of Valdosta at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall Annex Building, 300 N. Lee Street, Valdosta, Georgia, before and until 2:00 P.M. on September 25, 2025, for the construction of FIRE STATION #8 / PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY SITE IMPROVEMENTS and BUILDING RENOVATION for THE CITY OF VALDOSTA, GA Bidding documents may be examined, by appointment, at the office of Ellis, Ricket & Associates, Architects, located at 105 South Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA 31601. Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents from the City of Valdosta website https://www.valdostacity.com/bidsopportunities. In order to be considered, Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Bid Bond shall become payable to the Owner, only if the bidder to whom award is made should fail to execute contract with the Owner and furnish bonds in accordance with the terms of contractor¿s proposal within ten (10) days after notification of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of bid opening. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required by awarded contractor in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price before Notice to Proceed is issued. There will be a pre-bid conference held on September 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Engineering Department office, located at 300 N. Lee Street, Valdosta, Georgia, 31603. Contractors will have a chance to visit the project immediately after the conference. Attendance at this conference is MANDATORY for any Contractor intending to submit a bid on this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities and informalities, to retain discretion in adoption of alternates and to re-advertise.
