Project Description: The Maryland Environmental Service is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified Contractors to provide wastewater hauling and disposal from the Fire Rescue Training Pit facility. The wastewater consists of stormwater containing >1% waste petroleum products, and Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF). AFFF contains per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as forever chemicals which can cause groundwater and environmental contamination. The site is located on Mathison Way which is outside the BWI security perimeter.
