FIRE LIFE SAFETY CONSTRUCTION PLAN AND CODE REVIEW PROFESSIONALS

Under the guidelines of Calif. Public Contract Code 10510.4 - 10510.9, the University of California, Irvine (hereinafter referred to as ¿UCI¿ or the ¿University¿) requests the qualifications of firms interested in providing Fire Life Safety Plan and Code Review Services to support various capital improvement projects at its main campus in Irvine, California.

Project Summary
UCI seeks qualified professionals to provide Fire Life Safety Construction Plan and Code Review services to support the construction and renovation of various University facilities, which may include laboratories, classroom and lecture hall buildings, student residences, academic and administrative offices, medical facilities, athletic facilities, and others. The estimated construction value for individual projects may range from less than $100,000 for renovation projects to $200 million or more for new construction.  UCI's objective is to retain professionals that can work quickly on short lead times while producing responsive, consistent, and thoughtful deliverables in support of campus construction projects.
Required Services

The scope of services may include, but is not limited to, the following:
-Review of Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, and Specifications for conformance with: (1) applicable regulations; (2) UCI Campus Fire Marshal requirements; (3) UCI Design and Construction Services and/or Facilities Management requirements; (4) UCI Campus Standards and Design Criteria and CAD Standards; and (5) any other requirements required by law and/or by the University.
-Coordination with and incorporation of input from other design disciplines to provide comprehensive reviews of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document packages.
-Construction Administration, including attendance at weekly construction coordination meetings and review of Requests for Information and submittals.
