Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Systems

The County of Greenville is seeking sealed proposals on behalf of the Tigerville Fire Department from qualified contractors for the design, permitting, installation, testing, and acceptance of a new automatic fire sprinkler system and a new complete fire alarm system in an existing two-story fire station. The selected contractor shall serve as the single point of responsibility for both systems and may use properly licensed and qualified subcontractors as identified in the proposal.

The building was constructed around 1990 and does not currently have any type of fire sprinkler system. An approximately 20-year-old fire alarm system presently serves portions of the living quarters and office areas but does not provide complete coverage of the entire station. The existing fire alarm system, including the control equipment and existing initiating and notification appliances, shall be removed or properly abandoned and replaced with a new system as part of this project.

The project shall result in complete, coordinated, code-compliant, tested, and accepted fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems serving the entire station. Both systems shall be installed under the same contract and completed on the same project schedule.
