Financial Audit Services

The County of McKinley is accepting sealed proposals on behalf of the McKinley County Finance Department from independent public accounting firms (IPA) that have been approved by the New Mexico Office of the State Auditor who have technical experience including GASB-34 to conduct the financial and compliance audit, and who is desiring to work collaboratively with the Board of County Commissioners and the County Manager to provide Annual Audit Services for the County (NIGP Commodity Codes 91804, 94620).

A.         SA Rule 2024, Section I-1, which requires that all CPA's contracting audit service to file a firm profile with the State Auditor. Section 2.2.2.14.B. (7) of 2.2.2. NMAC requires that audit firms provide their most recent external quality control review report to the County with their proposal.

B.        SA Rule 2024, Section I-8-A-2, states that audit firms conducting audits of the same entity for six consecutive years will not be approved unless extraordinary circumstances exist.
