Place of Performance:
The Agricultural Marketing Service has posted a Final 512 Supplement for Fish and Fishery Products October 2024. Primary updates include: adding language regarding age limitation for the frozen raw material and the allowance for added ingredients, as they pertain to preservative aids and moisture retention agents to help meet shrimp product qualities, combining FPPS's for Atlantic Fish Fillets, Pacific Seafood Items, Wild Caught Shrimp and Walleye Fillets, Individual weight increased from 2.0 oz to new requirement of 2.5 oz for Ocean Perch, Product name updated to remove groundfish from Atlantic fillet portions, Raw material must be maintained below 0 degrees F for no more than 12 months, All items required for certificate of check loading by contractor, including signature, Weight range for Pacific Whiting adjusted from 3.0 – 7.0 oz to the new requirement of 2.0 – 7.0 oz., Vessel Trip Registration verbiage adjusted for west coast fishing requirement for Electronic Fish Ticket numbers, Cooked shrimp may contain Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) in amount to retain moisture, Nutrition Facts panel optional on shipping container, Added the requirement for tracking catch/fishing location, added Sesame to allergen statement, Finished product label must be identified with Grade A Shield, and must be graded accordance with NOAA/SIP requirements.
