Final Design and Engineering of the Long Island Greenway – East

Project Description: The Suffolk County Office of Central Procurement, on behalf of the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning, invites Proposals from qualified consultants (“Contractors”) to prepare final engineered plans, construction-ready documentation, and cost estimates of an approximately 50-mile LIG-E segment from Riverhead to Montauk using the policies and precedent set by multiple regional active transportation efforts, including but not limited to the North Shore Rail Trail. When preparing such plans and documentation, the Contractor shall consider off-road utility corridors, while applying Complete Street improvements on local roadways to maximize safety for on-street route segments.
