Place of Performance:
This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation for this requirement exists at this time. All businesses, regardless of size; capable of providing these services are invited to respond to this announcement and submit a capability statement for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine a firm's previous experience performing similar work. The capability statements will be reviewed and used to determine an appropriate procurement strategy, in particular, whether a small business set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited.
Proposed Project:
The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Region has a requirement to purchase up to two (2) Pentair filtration systems, two (2) Pentair immersible heaters, and two (2) Pentair temperature control boxes.
Salient Characteristics are as follows:
1. Pentair Filtration System (Item Number 930067) The filtration systems shall be mounted on a 40 x 48 plastic skid that can be moved via forklift. Each system shall include pump, filter, UV sterilizer, chemical filter, valves, and Schedule 80 PVC pipe. The system shall be capable of handling 100 gallons per minute.
1. The pumps shall be the Sparus with constant flow technology 230volt 1phase.
2. Filters shall be cartridge filters
3. UV Sterilizers shall be sized appropriately using high output T6-style lamps sized to be over
30,000 microwatts/cubic cm.
4. Chemical filter shall use activated carbon and be sufficient to handle 100 gallons per minute.
5. Valves should be placed to isolate specific systems in the filtration system.
6. PVC shall be schedule 80.
2. Pentair Heaters (item number LH35) Heaters shall be heavy duty immersion 230-volt 3500-watt heaters constructed of stainless steel with a stand to sit on bottom of tank.
3. Pentair Temperature Control Boxes (item number NA30DX) The temperature controller shall be 230 volt, 1 or 3 phase, with 40 max amps. It shall include an LCD display which displays set and actual temperature of the water. They shall have an accuracy rating of ±1.5°.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333310, Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing, with a corresponding small business size standard of 1,000 Employees.

6. Capability Statement (not to exceed 10 pages). A brief summary of capabilities to include
demonstration of the firm's capability to manufacture/provide the item required. Previous
procurements performed of similar size and complexity to include references with point of contact
information. Place/country of manufactured product. Customary lead times for this type of item,
and any known or foreseeable issues with manufacturing this type of item.
