File Scanning/Digitization Services

Project Description: The goal of these services will be to scan physical files of all Suffolk County archived wastewater permit records and pollution control records, from paper and other forms of media such as microfilm and microfiche, to create a digital file repository. The files should be scanned using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), or similar, technology to create readable PDF files from which data can be extracted. The Services will also include extracting certain data points, as defined by the Department, and creating an SQL database to store that extracted data. The files and SQL data should be saved in a format so that it can easily be linked to existing records and data by tax map number, record ID, or other unique identifier.
