Description:

The City of San Leandro is seeking bids from qualified contractors for Bid 24-25.003 Fiber System Update 2025; Advance Signal System. The work to be done consists of replacing fiber termination units, switches, and jumpers and doing all appurtenant work in place and ready for use, all as shown on the plans and described in the specifications.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: Optional pre-bid conferences will be held on November 12, 2024 at 10:30 in the Sister Cities Gallery Room of City Hall at 835 East 14th Street, and on November 14, 2024 at 10:30 in the Sister Cities Gallery Room of City Hall at 835 East 14th Street. The information presented at the conferences will be identical.

Plan Holders List:

Bidders who download the plans are encouraged to contact the City of San Leandro Engineering and Transportation Department at 510-577-3428 to be placed on the project planholder’s list to receive courtesy notifications of addenda and other project information. Project addenda, if any, will be posted on the website. A bidder who fails to address all project addenda in its proposal may be deemed non-responsive.

Qualifications:

CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE: A Class C-7 low Voltage Systems or a Class C-10 Electrical Contractor’s License is required for this work. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with Chapter 9, Division 3 of the California Business and Professions Code.

Miscellaneous:

VALUE OF WORK: The Engineer has estimated that the value of work is $575,000.
