FHS Walk-In Freezer

The City of Fitchburg, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the High School Walk-in Freezer project, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by Gienapp Architects, 20 Conant Street, Danvers, MA 01923, dated April 3, 2024, for all work associated with the installation of a new walk-in freezer unit on a concrete pad attached to the existing kitchen; estimated construction cost $400,000.

Filed Sub-Bids will be received until April 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM at www.biddocs.com . All Filed Sub-Bidders must be DCAMM certified. The following filed sub-trades are on the project: Electrical Work.

General Contractor bids will be received until April 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at www.biddocs.com . General Contractor must be DCAMM certified in General Construction.

A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements.

This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the scope of work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.

Drawings, Specifications, Terms and Conditions, and Forms may be obtained at www.biddocs.com under the project number BDO# B24-0D05. Complete sets of bidding documents shall be used in preparing bids; the City does not assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of bidding documents or for modifications to the bidding documents. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on April 16, 2024, at 9:30 AM, at 140 Arnhow Farm Rd, Fitchburg, MA. Bidders shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation. Failure to do so shall be at the bidder’s risk.
