47 Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Buy America Compliant 60' Articulated Buses

RTD is seeking to purchase 47 FTA Buy America Compliant articulated 60’ buses to replace 47, 2014 New Flyer buses approaching the end of their useful life. These buses will be designed and manufactured specifically for use on the Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Route.

RTD may, at its sole discretion and option, elect to purchase up to 80 additional 60’ Articulated Buses based on the pricing set forth in the Statement of Contract Cost and attaching pricing form. Unless RTD notifies Contractor of its intention to purchase more than the initial 47 buses, RTD is only obligated to purchase the 47 buses, subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract.

Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is scheduled for substantial completion at the end of 2027. The intent is to have these buses to support the opening of the service.
