Description

This was a procurement for a commercially available, highly mobile, all-terrain amphibious personnel carrier, a dedicated amphibious trailer and 5-year maintenance services to support all-terrain operations in extreme Arctic conditions. The vehicle must accommodate 8 passengers, weigh under 6,500 lbs, and feature hydrostatic steering and transmission for winter and amphibious

operations. It will have a 74 HP 4-cylinder diesel engine (no DEF required), meeting EPS Tier 4 Final EU Stage V emissions standards, and joystick steering. Performance includes towing 2,200 lbs, climbing 35° inclines, and operating on 22° sidehills. The vehicle includes an Arctic weather package with heaters, ventilation fans, and studded tires. Safety and utility features include electronic inclinometers, winches, bilge pumps, LED lighting, and tow packages. Maintenance services cover a 5-year period with scheduled maintenance every 500 hours, including oil and filter changes, coolant system checks, and belt inspections, along with emergency repair services with a 3-hour response time. The contractor must provide trained personnel, necessary tools, compliance with regulations, and record-keeping, in Fairbanks, AK.
