Farm To School Produce

Project Description: The Corona-Norco Unified School District is requesting proposals from providers of locally grown fresh produce and related services for the District’s Child Nutrition Services (CNS) Department. Through this solicitation the District seeks fresh, seasonal produce grown and harvested within one hundred fifty (150) miles of the District’s Child Nutrition Services Warehouse in order to improve the freshness and nutritional quality of produce served to students, reduce food miles, and strengthen the regional farm economy sourced from: local farms (including small and mid-scale farms), socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers, women and disabled veteran-owned farm operations.
