Farm/Pasture Lease

The Clayton County Board of Supervisors is accepting sealed bids for the leasing of four separate pieces of property with certain conditions to be set by the Board of Supervisors for a term dating from March 1, 2026 to December 1, 2028 (crop years 2026, 2027, and 2028). The Clayton County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids must be submitted to the Clayton County Auditor, 111 High St NE – Suite 102, Elkader, IA 52043 no later than 4:00 PM on December 15, 2025. Please allow for only one property on each sealed bid. Bids should designate the dollar amount for rent per acre and the overall rental amount of the acreage. Acreage is listed after each legal description below.

• PROPERTY ONE – SCENIC ACRES FARM
  • SE 1/4 SE 1/4 in Section 6, Township 93 North, Range 4 West except sewage lagoon also known as parcel #22-11-06-476-001; NW 1/4 NE 1/4 in Section 7, Township 93 North, Range 4 West also known as parcel #22-11-07-201-001 except 7 Acres for County Jail; part of NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of section 7, Township 93 North, Range 4 West also known as parcel #22-11-07- 226-001; NW 1/4 SW 1/4 NW 1/4 and SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 8, Township 93 North, Range 4 West also known as parcel # 22-11-08-152-001 and #22-11-08-176-001; (116.6 Acres more or less).
• PROPERTY TWO – OLD LANDFILL SITE
  • W1/2 NW 1.44 except S 5 Acres, in Section 7, Township 93 North, Range 4 West also known as parcel #22-11-07-101-001 and #22-11-07-152-001. (48.9 Acres more or less).
• PROPERTY THREE – SCENIC ACRES PASTURE
  • Part of the NE1/4 NE1/4, of Section 7, of Township 93 North, Range 4 West in Read Township, in Clayton County, Iowa, also known as parcel #22-11-07-226-001 (20 Acres pasture ground only).
• PROPERTY FOUR – SANDPIT ROAD SITE
  • Lot One of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and Lot One and Lot Three of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22; Lot Two of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter and Lot Two of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15; Lot Two of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 93 North, Range 5; All of the foregoing being in Township 93 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M. (57.2 Acres more or less).
