PROJECT TITLE: Fairview State Fish Hatchery – Rehabilitate Fish Hatchery
PROJECT LOCATION: 2000 Lohrer Road, Fairview, PA 16415
This Project is advertising for PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS for design and/or engineering services.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited to increasing water supply to the hatchery with new freshwater and/or subsurface water sources to ensure adequate year-round water supply at lower temperatures, with less turbidity and fewer pathogens. This may include improvements to the existing fish production water distribution system. Improve the raw water quality of existing and new water sources and construct a new water treatment facility and building to reduce turbidity and convey fewer pathogens in the fish production water. Repair or replace the rubber polishing pond liner. The current pond has a rubber liner and is about 0.5-acre in surface area and 5-feet in depth. Improve the approximate 3-acre on-site solids drying area to more efficiently dewater effluent waters and ensure there is adequate volume to accommodate future projected flowrates.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $3,269,228.40
