INVITATION TO BID
Separate sealed bids for designing, fabricating, and delivering a new steel structure and all appurtenant features required for the construction of the Madison County – Fairgrounds Event Center will be received by the office of the Madison County Commission at 111 East Wallace Street, P.O. Box 278, Virginia City, Montana 59755 until 10:00 a.m. local time on June 15, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud.
The project consists of the construction of a new event center at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Twin Bridges, Montana. The work will consist of designing the structure and foundation, fabricating the structure, and delivering the structure and all appurtenances to the specified location within Twin Bridges, Montana. The supplied building includes all exterior walls, framing, roofing, siding, foundation connections, doors, and appurtenances for construction of a completely enclosed, and weather tight structure. Bidders are requested, but not required, to provide bids for identified optional bid items. Madison County will complete the interior improvements and finishing, site improvements and grading, and utility extensions. Foundation construction and building erection may be included in the contract or may be completed by Madison County using local forces or separate contracts. The supplied structure shall meet applicable local, state, and federal building codes and requirements. Madison County intends to complete the building erection and all site improvements by July 2027.

The contract documents, consisting of half size Drawings and Project Manual, may be examined or obtained at the office of Great West Engineering, Inc., located at 250 Helen P Clarke Street, Helena MT 59601, phone (406) 449-8627 in accordance with Section 1.6 of the General Requirements. Required fee of $20 per set, which is not refundable.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid that is in the best interest of the Owner.
All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be submitted in writing to and must be received by Great West Engineering no later than 5:00 PM local time on June 10, 2026.
