Exterior Wall Penetration and Door Installation

SRC is inviting quotations for the Supply and Installation of Exterior Wall Penetrations and Door Installation (“the Project”) within the solvent extraction unit (SXU) and monazite processing unit (MPU) facility.

The purpose of this Request for Quotations (RFQ) is to identify respondents able to meet SRC’s requirements in an economical and timely manner, and to identify a respondent with whom the Proposed Agreement can be executed

SRC will evaluate and identify the quotation that provides the best overall value to SRC, including but not limited to aspects pertaining to technical features and options, qualifications and experience, Indigenous inclusion, pricing, delivery schedule, after sales support, references, clarifications, negotiations and any other aspect of the products or services quoted, as determined by SRC in its sole discretion.

The scope of work includes the supply and installation of:

4.1.1 Wall penetrations in the SXU and MPU buildings at the Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

4.1.2 Supply and Installation of galvanized steel external man doors in the East and South Walls of the SXU building.

4.1.3 Installation of galvanized steel external man doors supplied by SRC in the West Wall of the MPU building.

The SXU and MPU buildings are pre-engineered metal industrial buildings of the same construction type (“Butler Manufacturing”), located adjacent to each other. Both have external walls consisting of pre-finished metal cladding supported by steel columns and pre-engineered girts, incorporating furring bars, with specific sections of walls being fire-rated with two to four layers of internal drywall.

The Work includes, but is not limited to:

Cutting exterior cladding, insulation, and interior drywall layers where applicable
Installing structural framing or sleeves for penetrations and the man door
Installing flashing, sealants, and weatherproofing
Reinstating insulation and applying firestopping where required
Restoring interior finishes to match existing conditions

SRC will make the necessary arrangements to allow contractors to inspect the site conditions prior to

submitting their proposals. Respondents are to include all associated costs, including but not limited to scaffolding, lifting equipment, travel, labour, and overhead, in their quoted prices
