Exterior Monumental Stair Restoration/ Reconstruction Design 2027-53

The City of Watertown (MA) invites proposals from qualified architect/engineering firms to provide Exterior Monumental Stair Restoration/Reconstruction Design. The work will consist of design for a restored and reconstructed exterior accessible ceremonial entrance stairway with handrails located at the City of Watertown, City Hall. The contract between the City and the Designer may be amended to include continued designer services through construction contract award, construction administration, final closeout and warranty period of the potential project. The bid will be submitted in accordance with the Submission Requirements with this RFQ. The contract will be awarded under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 7C §§ 44-58.

The fee will be negotiated for services dependent upon an evaluation of the level of effort required, job complexity, specialized knowledge required, estimated construction cost, comparison with past project fees, and other considerations.

This project is being electronically bid. All bids must be prepared and submitted online through Projectdoc.com. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by the Awarding Authority.

Proposers shall submit a technical non-price proposal which includes everything responsive to this RFQ. This technical non-price should be clearly marked “RFQ 2027-53 Technical Proposal” and submitted electronically.

RFQ Deadline: Proposals are due through the Project Dog submission portal by Thursday November 12, 2026, 10:00 AM. Hand delivered proposals will not be accepted.
