The project prioritizes equipment with a Variable Load System (VLS), where weight discs are permanently captive on rails, eliminating the need for loose pins or removable plates that are prone to loss in unsupervised public spaces. Furthermore, all units must meet stringent ADA and universal design standards, specifically providing wheelchair-accessible stations that allow users to independently adjust resistance while seated.
