Extension of Bids

The City of Clayton is accepting sealed bids for the #1 Oak Knoll Waterproofing Project. Bids will be received by the City of Clayton Director of Parks and Recreation, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO  63105, until 10:00 A.M. CDT, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the Center of Clayton, Meeting Room A at 10:05 A.M.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The City of Clayton is accepting sealed bids for the #1 Oak Knoll Waterproofing Project. Bids will be received by the City of Clayton Director of Parks and Recreation, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO  63105, until 11:00 A.M. CDT, on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at The Center of Clayton, Meeting Room A at 11:05 A.M.

The Scope of Work for this Contact includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to make repairs to two activley leaking areas, both above and below grade, to prevent water intrusion into the building located at #1 Oak Knoll Park.

Specific Work to include, but not limited to;

1. Removal and off-site disposal of project related debris.
2. Excavation and repair to deficient areas below grade. Identified as the north and west side of the building. See exhibit A-blue highlights.
3. Installation of below grade drainage system to move water away from north and west side of building.
4. Repair/waterproofing to south patio area under playground surfacing.Surfacing to be removed by contractor, reinstalled by owner. See exhibit A-blue highlighted area.

The City intends to issue a Notice to Proceed on or before March 27, 2024.

Bid documents will be available from the city’s website: www.claytonmo.gov/bids starting Friday, February 23, 2024.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 8:00 A.M. The meeting will take place at #1 Oak Knoll Park, Clayton, MO 63105.

Questions regarding this project should be directed to Justin Whipple, Superintendent of Parks, City of Clayton. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to jwhipple@claytonmo.gov .  No questions will be accepted after 5:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.

A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
