Request for Proposals (RFP) No. SFMTA-2024-70-LOC: Rail Video-Based Safety System
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is requesting proposals from qualified firms for a Video Computer Analytics System for Rail Passenger Vehicles. The goal of the Rail Video-Based Safety System is to enhance overall safety on the SFMTA’s Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) fleet.
The selected Contractor shall install audio and video surveillance camera system hardware, software, and other related components on all the SFMTA’s Siemens-manufactured LRV4 vehicles within two years of Contract award. The Contractor shall also provide post installation monitoring work and any other software and hardware to ensure the required functionality of the System. All installed hardware and associated software shall have a minimum of 6-year Warranty from the successful completion of the User Acceptance Test. During the Warranty period, the Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining all hardware and software without any additional cost to the SFMTA.
The SFMTA may award a contract to the Proposer that meets the Minimum Qualifications (see RFP Section III) of this RFP and whose Proposal receives the highest-ranking score. Proposers must provide documentation that clearly demonstrate that each Minimum Qualification and each Local Business Enterprise (LBE) requirement has been met. Any Proposal that does not meet the Minimum Qualifications and LBE requirements will be deemed non-responsive.
The SFMTA encourages Proposers to attend a virtual Pre-Proposal Conference via Microsoft Teams on December 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM PT. Proposers may register for the Pre-Proposal Conference and submit questions following the instructions included in RFP Section VI.A. The SFMTA will address Proposers’ questions and will provide any new or additional information concerning the RFP or selection process at the Pre-Proposal Conference.
The RFP and associated documents are attached to this Sourcing Event.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please follow the submission instructions provided in the RFP document. Bids will not be accepted through the City and County of San Francisco's Supplier Portal website.
