The Balboa Reservoir (Reservoir) is a 17-acre site located across from City College. The masterplan calls for a series of 7 multifamily buildings and approximately 100 for sale townhomes for a total of 1100 units. The sponsor of this project is BRIDGE Housing and is requesting for the phase 1 infrastructure portion of the masterplan. The work under this bid will include demolition, grading, street and transportation improvements, open space improvements, combined sewer system, stormwater management, and pad readiness for Buildings E and A as described in the SIP plans and specifications. The work designed and included in the SIP is necessary for the fully functional public infrastructure, which will serve Building E, Building A, and future buildings on the site.
The project has a 25% SBE goal. A 10% ratings bonus shall be applied to SBE’s proposed as the prime contractor. A 7.5% rating bonus to a Joint Venture with SBE prime contractor participation that equals or exceeds forty percent (40%).
Contractor’s bid proposal for each bid package must be accompanied by the following documents in order to be considered a valid bid by the Owner’s Representative. Incomplete bids may be rejected.
Bid Date: No earlier than 1:45 PM on the bid date and no later than 2:00 PM on the bid date, the following documents must be received via email as separate PDF attachments by the entire email distribution list below:
a. Bid Summary, Bid Form and Schedule of Values (Attachment 1a&b)
b. Bid Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit (Attachment 1c)
c. Subcontractor Listing (Attachment 2)
d. Bidder narrative of its work scope inclusions/exclusions that corresponds to their Bid proposal.
e. Please note that the Bid Schedule of Values includes allowances for anticipated items of work that not fully quantifiable at time of bid. Allowances are controlled by the Owner. If any of the allowance items are determined to be necessary to accomplish the project, the Owner will control the allowance will request a change order to perform the work.
