Request for Proposals (RFP) #1176 Food Assistance Program

The San Francisco Human Services Agency (SFHSA) and the Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) announce their intent to seek proposals from nonprofit organizations interested in providing a food assistance program for older adults and adults with disabilities living in the City and County of San Francisco. Food assistance will be provided at no cost to eligible participants, with multiple access points established in each Supervisorial District, focusing on high-need areas and various neighborhoods within those districts. The grantee will procure, store, deliver, and distribute food support on a weekly basis at regularly scheduled distribution sites and times.

This procurement is for an existing service, and the agency awarded the new grant will be required to collaborate with DAS to develop a comprehensive transition plan. This plan is essential to ensure the continuity of services for current consumers when the new grant begins. The successful bidder will work closely with DAS to facilitate a smooth transition, minimizing any disruption to service delivery for consumers during this period.
