Executive Search Firm for City Manager

The City of Clermont is seeking proposals for the performance of executive search services for the position of City Manager.

The successful company must have the experience and expertise in conducting executive searches in the public sector. Proposals submitted must provide sufficient detail and information to complete an evaluation of the respondent’s merit.

A lump sum fee will be negotiated with the finalist. It is anticipated that the contract will be a lump sum including expenses with a not to exceed maximum amount. A cost proposal is required as part of the response to this RFP.

The City of Clermont is a first-tier suburb located in central Florida, in southeast Lake County. It encompasses an area of approximately 20 square miles and has an estimated population of over 49,000.

The City provides a full range of municipal services, including police and fire protection, water and wastewater services, sanitation, recreation, public improvements, streets, planning and zoning, and general administrative services. The City currently has a total of 414 full-time employees.

The City of Clermont was incorporated in 1916 and covers an area of approximately 14.756 square miles. The City is located in south Lake County, approximately 22 miles west of Orlando and 22 miles southeast from the City of Leesburg. The City operates under a City Manager – Council form of government with a five member City Council, including a Mayor. The City Council officials are elected by the residents of the City of Clermont. The Council appoints the City Manager to function as the Chief Administrator of the City, providing leadership, direction, and guidance.
