The Village of Bensenville is seeking Phase III Professional Engineering Services for the Evergreen Street Reconstruction STP Project. These engineering services are utilizing local funds as well as funds from the federal Surface Transportation Program – Urban (STU); therefore, all work must be done in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Village standards.

This project is located in the Village of Bensenville, DuPage County.  The Village of Bensenville is proposing improvements to Evergreen Street (FAU 2589) from Jefferson Street (FAU 1370) to Green Street (FAU 3533).  In addition to the federally funded Evergreen Street, the Village will also utilize its own funding to include the reconstruction of Park Street (Pine Avenue to Green Street) and Pine Avenue (Evergreen Street to Park Street).

The project will involve reconstructing Evergreen Street, Park Street, and Pine Avenue with the Village’s standard industrial PCC roadway pavement, new subbase, new curbs, gutters, and aprons, storm sewer improvements, addition of sidewalk in the corridor.  Evergreen Street from Jefferson Street to Pine Avenue will receive new water mains prior to installation of the new roadway pavement. Other items of work will include ADA ramps, pavement striping, sanitary sewer lining, signage replacement, and landscape restoration.

All questions shall be submitted electronically to Brad Hargett on or before 12:00 pm on September 3, 2026.  A response to all written questions received will be posted on the Village’s website, no later than 3:00 pm on September 4, 2026.  Meetings to discuss the project prior to submittal of the proposal will not be granted.
