2025 Evans County Road Improvements (PE24184)

Sealed bids for construction of the 2025 Evans County Road Improvements Project will be received until March 5th, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evans County Commissioners Office at 613 West Main Street, Claxton, GA 30417 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following:

Resurfacing approximately 24.4 miles of roads with asphalt including Old Hwy 250, AD Eason Road, Jim O¿Rogers Road, Campground Road, Edgewater Drive, Rufus Sapp Road, Hearn Street, Perry Road, Perkins Mill Road, Hendrix Bridge Road, E. Railroad Street, Ivey Avenue. The Contractor shall provide milling, 4¿ deep patching, bituminous tack coat, leveling, striping, and traffic control. The Contractor shall also provide fine grading and paving a boat landing parking lot. Time allotted for final completion of work is one hundred eighty (180) calendar days. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier¿s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Funding is to be provided by GDOT-LMIG, TIA, and the Evans County Commissioners. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project.
