They were scored as follows:

1. O’Kelley’s Office Supply- 100

2. Officewise Furniture and Supply- 90

3. West Texas Lighthouse for the Blind- 75

4. The Treehouse Inc.- 67

The Purchasing Department recommends awarding this bid to O’Kelley Office Supply and

Officewise Furniture & Supply based on each vendor’s discount for office supplies and

furniture. Using this procedure will benefit all entities involved to find various brands of

office supplies and furniture through different catalogs and warehouses.

The process of awarding to more than one vendor has been very beneficial for all

concerned. The City of Abilene, Community Supervision and Corrections Department

and the Central Appraisal District will participate in using the bid together with Taylor

County through Inter-local Agreements.
