EV Charger Installation at Ypsilanti Fire Station

The City of Ypsilanti (“City” or “Owner”) was recently awarded a Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy Community Energy Management Grant (“Grant”) to fund the purchase and installation of one dual port Level 2 EV charger at the City’s Fire Station to serve City fleet vehicles. In partial fulfillment of this Grant, the City is issuing this Invitation to Bid for experienced electricians interested in installing the dual port Level 2 EV charger. Additionally, the City’s application for two DTE Charging Forward eFleet rebates was approved. Therefore, installation of the chargers must abide by the City’s Grant Agreement as well as the DTE eFleets Program Terms and Conditions signed by the City. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at the Fire Station at 525 West Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48197, on August 12, 2025, 2:30pm. Attendees are asked to park at 613 West Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. After signing in at the front desk attendees will be directed to a conference room to meet before the walkthrough.

One unbound paper copy with the pricing page flagged and one electronic copy (e.g. USB flash drive) of the proposal must be delivered in an opaque sealed envelope. The envelope must be properly labeled (including FedEx and UPS labels) as follows:
